网站描述：朝阳师专新校区坐落在风景秀丽的朝阳市龙山，其前身是1960年由辽宁省人民政府批准建立的朝阳市师范专科学校，1962年至1977年调整停办，1977年由辽宁省教育局批准成立辽宁省第一师范学院朝阳师专班，1981年由国务院批准正式建立朝阳师范专科学校，1990年朝阳市教育学院并入，1993年由国家教委更名为朝阳师范高等专科学校，2001年朝阳第一师范学校、朝阳职工大学并入。2008年异地新建于目前校址。自1981年重建以来，朝阳师专一直承担着朝阳市及周边地区的基础教育师资培养任务，共培养全日制大专毕业生16767人，为朝阳市及周边地区的经济社会发展，尤其是在基础教育师资的培养与培训方面做出了较大贡献。
