网站描述：大理学院是一所有30年本科办学历史，以医学和教育学见长，医学、教育学、文学、理学、法学、管理学等学科协调发展的省属综合性本科院校。1978年，为了解决边疆少数民族地区卫生、教育人才匮乏的状况，国务院批准成立了本科高校大理医学院和大理师范高等专科学校。大理医学院1987年8月获得学学士学位授予权，1997年顺利通过原国家教委本科教学工作合格评估。2001年10月，经国家教育部批准，大理医学院和大理师范高等专科学校合并，云南广播电视大学大理分校和大理工业学校并入，组建成大理学院。
