网站描述：河北工程技术高等专科学校坐落于沿海开放城市沧州市，是河北省教育厅直属的一所综合性工科高等专科学校。学校的前身是1952年河北省水利厅在天津建立的河北水利土木学校，是当时华北地区最早建立的一所水利学校。1955年更名为"河北省天津水利学校"。1958年，迁往保定市，并升格为高等学校，校名为"河北水利电力学院"，1960年改称为"河北水利学院"。1966年，迁往石家庄平山县岗南水库，校名改称为"河北水利工读专科学校"。1970年经河北省批准，学校迁往沧州市，定名为"河北水利专科学校"。1992年经原国家教委批准，改为现名"河北工程技术高等专科学校"。
