网站描述：河北建筑工程学院始建于1950年8月，初名为张家口技术学校，1951年定名为察哈尔工业学院，1952年2月改为华北行政委员会领导的华北工业学校，1954年5月起成为中央人民政府建筑工程部张家口建筑工程学校，1958年7月划归河北省，先后更名为张家口工学院、张家口建筑工程专科学校和张家口建筑工程学校。1978年经国务院批准，升格为普通高等学校，定名为河北建筑工程学院，是河北省唯一的专门培养建筑工程高级技术人才的普通高等学校。
