网站描述：河南建筑职业技术学院创办于1958年，前身为河南省建筑职工大学。1982年，经河南省人民政府批准、原国家教委备案，成为独立设置的全日制公办成人高等专科学校。1998年与河南省建筑工程学校合署办学。2002年，经省教育厅批准举办普通高等职业教育。2008年3月，经河南省人民政府批准并报教育部备案，改制为河南建筑职业技术学院，是我省独立设置的普通高等职业技术学院中唯一的建筑类院校，现隶属于河南省建设厅。 建校以来，学院始终坚持社会主义办学方向，全面贯彻党的教育方针，以服务河南省经济社会发展为己任，立足建设行业、面向全社会，走产学结合发展道路，努力探索高技能人才的培养途径，形成了自己的办学特色，办学实力和办学水平不断提高。
