网站描述：湖南科技职业学院于2001年8月经湖南省人民政府批准成立，由湖南中华职业教育社主办，是湖南省人民政府与中华职业教育社共建的、全国中华职业教育社系统唯一的公办高等职业学院。学院以“至诚至公、精业乐业”为核心价值观，以“走个性化、多样性、开放式之路，育高素质、高技能型人才”为办学理念，以创建国内一流示范性高职学院为奋斗目标。2003年12月，学院被教育部批准为湖南省唯一的首批试办国家示范性软件职业技术学院的高等院校。2005年12月，顺利通过了教育部高职高专院校人才培养工作水平评估，获优秀等级。2007年9月，成为湖南省示范性高职院校建设单位。
