网站描述：湖南软件职业学院是经湖南省人民政府批准成立、国家教育部备案，纳入国家计划统一招生的全日制普通高等院校。 学院于2001年建校，现有长沙、湘潭两个校区。长沙校区占地398亩，建筑面积7万多平米，坐落在天心区新开铺路，毗邻省政府新址。湘潭校区占地1000亩，坐落在“长株潭”一体化的核心地段九华经济开发区。新校区依山傍水，环境优美。总建筑面积40万平方米，一期工程10万平方米于2008年8月建设完成，有近4000名学生搬进了新校区学习和生活。二期工程已经启动，计划3年内竣工。总投资近10亿元，现代化教学楼、实训大楼、图书馆、教师公寓、专家别墅、学生公寓、体育馆等现代化办公、教学、生活、体育设施一应俱全，是学生身心健康成长的乐园。
