网站描述：邵阳医学高等专科学校是在邵阳市卫生学校的基础上，经教育部批准组建的公办全日制专科层次的普通高等院校。学校创建于1950年，其前身可追溯至1929年的湖南省私立普爱高级护士职业学校。学校现有临床医学一系、临床医学二系、护理系、药学系、医学检验系、医学基础部、公共课部、医学教育研究室、计算机网络中心、电教中心、图书馆等教辅机构，开设有临床医学、护理学、妇幼保健学、药学、医学检验技术等五个大专专业，以及护理、助产、医学检验、药剂、中医（针灸推拿）等5个中专专业。学校设立奖学金和贫困生助学金，对品学兼优的学生予以奖励和扶助。近几年来，学校毕业的大中专毕业生受到省内各大医院和企业的普遍欢迎。特别是护理、药学和医学检验技术专业的毕业生，就业形势十分喜人，长沙、上海、广州、深圳、珠海等地大中型医药和企业争相来校要人。我校毕业生整体就业率在86.5%以上。
