网站描述：淮南职业技术学院是淮南矿业集团主办，经安徽省人民政府批准，教育部备案的一所高等职业技术学院。由原淮南矿务局职工大学、淮南矿务局职工医科大学、淮南矿务局党校、淮南煤炭体育运动学校、淮南矿务局高级技工学校整合组建而成。1999年6月，与淮南工业学院（现安徽理工大学）以联合办学的形式，成立淮南工业学院职业技术学院。2000年6月18日，根据安徽省人民政府皖政秘[2000]117号文的批复，独立建校正式成立淮南职业技术学院，是安徽省教育厅重点抓的大型企业集团办高职的试点单位。
