网站描述：济南铁道职业技术学院创建于1951年，1958年至1963年曾升格为济南铁道学院，1980年被公布为首批国家级重点中专学校。2000年，山东省人民政府批准将济南铁路机械学校改建为济南铁道职业技术学院。2004年11月，学院由隶属铁道部改为由山东省教育厅直属管理，先后为铁路和山东省培养了4万余名德才兼备的技术人才。学院校园占地825亩，建筑面积25.5万平方米。设有机械工程、电气工程、信息工程、土木工程、生物工程、管理等六个系，在校生8701名。 学院在长期的办学历程中，积累了丰富的办学经验，沉淀了深厚的校园文化，形成了鲜明的办学特色和办学风格，在社会上享有较高声誉，先后荣获“全国职业教育先进单位”、“山东省职业技术教育先进单位”、“山东省职工教育先进单位”、“山东职业教育突出成就奖”等荣誉称号。在“山东省高职院校人才培养工作水平评估”和“山东省就业工作评估”中均被评为优秀,2007年5月荣获山东省人事厅、教育厅联合颁发的“普通高等学校毕业生就业工作先进集体”称号。
