网站描述：南昌大学医学院（原江西医学院）的前身是创办于1921年的江西公立医学专门学校。1952年改名为江西省医学院，开始招收本科生，1953年更名为江西医学院。1958年，与中国人民解放军第八军医学校合并，仍称江西医学院。1969年，与江西中医学院合并，成立江西医科大学。1972年11月与江西中医学院分设，复名为江西医学院。2005年8月，与南昌大学合并，冠名为南昌大学医学院。
