网站描述：辽宁省交通高等专科学校是全国首批28所国家示范性高等职业建设院校，坐落于历史名城沈阳，是一所省属理工类普通高等学校。学校创建于1951年，初名交通部东北交通学校，是新中国第一所公路交通类专门学校，1954年更名为交通部沈阳公路工程学校，1958年升格为辽宁交通学院举办本科教育，并接收来华留学生。1965年，根据中央平战结合方针，学校从沈阳市区迁至抚顺市新宾县上夹河镇周家沟村，1982年回迁至沈阳市，1985年开始筹建辽宁省公路专科学校，1989年招收专科生，1991年定名为辽宁省交通高等专科学校。学校三易校址、七易校名，先后举办过中专、本科、专科、高职教育。
