网站描述：1992年6月，由上海交通大学、北京大学、清华大学的部分教授发起创办上海杉达学院（原杉达大学），1992年8月11日经上海市高等教育局批准筹办，1994年2月17日经国家教委批准正式建校，是上海市第一所具有高等学历教育资格的民办普通高校。2002年3月经国家教育部正式批准上海杉达学院设置为本科层次的普通高校，也是上海市第一所具有本科学历教育资格的民办普通高校，属上海市人民政府领导。2005年8月经上海市学位委员会同意我院增列为学士学位授予单位。上海杉达学院在上海浦东新区和浙江省嘉善地区设两个校区，学校本部位于上海浦东金海路2727号；两个校区共有土地808亩，建筑面积24.5万平方米；学校总资产达人民币6.76亿元。
