网站描述：山西财经大学是一所以经济学、管理学为特色和优势学科，经济学、管理学、法学为主干学科，经、管、法、文、理、工、教相互支撑的多科性财经大学。学校始建于1951年，前身是山西省银行、财政、供销合作、商业和粮食五所干部学校。1958年9月，五所干部学校合并成立山西财经学院，曾隶属山西省、中华全国供销合作总社、商业部和国内贸易部领导。1984年12月，成立山西经济管理学院，隶属山西省领导。1997年10月，山西财经学院和山西经济管理学院合并组建山西财经大学，实行省部共建共管。2000年2月，实行中央与地方共建、以地方管理为主的体制。
