网站描述：厦门理工学院首页http://www.xmut.edu.cn,学院概况, XIAMEN UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY,厦门高校，厦门理工学院是福建省属公立本科大学。实行省市共建，以厦门市为主的领导管理体制。已有26年办学历史。厦门理工学院现有在校学生（学员）一万余人。其中全日制本、专科生（含留学生）7200余人，成人教育学员3000人。现有教职工近700人，其中中国工程院院士1人，长江学者特聘教授1人，副教授以上职称的教师占专任教师的38%，硕博士学历的教师占专任教师总数的67.4%。学院现有思明和集美两个校区。思明校区位于厦门岛南端的蜂巢山麓，与鼓浪屿隔海相望，毗邻南普陀、厦门大学。集美校区位于集美文教区，占地1000余亩，已于2005年启用。思明校区依山傍海、草木繁茂、恬静雅致。集美校区现代化建筑群簇拥而立，气势磅礴、设施先进。都是读书求学的好去处。学院现设有16个系部，开设24个本科专业，25个专科专业，涉及文、理、工、经、管等多个学科门类。学院设有建筑设计院、空间信息技术研究所、学报编辑部、科技产业公司等一批科研与产业机构。
