网站描述：湘潭职业技术学院成立于2001年8月，是经湖南省人民政府批准、国家教育部备案、面向全国招生的国办全日制普通高校。学院地处湘潭市高新技术产业开发区，位于河东大道与丝绸大道交汇处，与新建的湘潭市政中心毗邻，东联长潭高速公路，交通便利。 学院占地面积300亩（目前规划再扩征土地110亩），建筑面积18万平方米，固定资产近3亿元。现有在籍学生12000人，教职工420人，其中，教授10人，副教授63人，副高以上职称教师109人，“双师型”教师130名，具有研究生学历或硕士以上学位教师60多人。还聘请了一批具有较高学识水平的专家学者和实践能力强的高级工程技术人员作为长期的兼职教师，并聘请了外籍教师担任教学工作。
