网站描述：盐城工学院创建于1958年6月，是江苏省属全日制普通本科院校，实行省市共建、以省为主的管理体制，位于有“东方湿地之都，仙鹤神鹿世界”美誉的江苏东部沿海新型工业中心城市——盐城。1996年5月，经原国家教委批准，盐城工业专科学校和盐城职业大学合并组建盐城工学院，成立了盐城市第一所本科院校。2000年2月，经江苏省人民政府批准，原盐城会计学校并入盐城工学院。
