通常，企业会建立公共文件夹（如PublicFolder）让员工放置文档。但是在使用易用性，管理方面，基于windows的文件夹方式都具有一定的局限性。而启明星eDoc就是把文件夹映射为web文件夹，也就是启明星电子文档库的主要功能是把windows文件夹映射为可以通过web访问的文件夹功能。
下图模拟了服务器文件夹结构（一般设置为共享）
当配置好启明星eDoc后，访问系统，他会自动把第一层目录作为导航，如下图，承包商，供应商等放到第一层位置。
在这里，可以看到产品信息，例如单击“马桶”会进入马桶类别，可以再次单击进入，查看产品类别。
