Tesla Recalls 1.1 million Vehicles with New Deep Step Accelerator Pedal Reminder Function

On May 12th, Tesla Motors (Beijing) Co., Ltd. and Tesla (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the requirements of the "Regulations on the Management of Defective Automotive Product Recalls" and the "Implementation Measures for the Regulations on the Management of Defective Automotive Product Recalls". Starting from May 29, 2023, a total of 1104622 imported ModelS, ModelX, Model3, and domestically produced Model3, ModelY vehicles with production dates from January 12, 2019 to April 24, 2023 will be recalled.
Tesla officially stated that it will promote the following features for vehicles within the recall scope through Remote Automotive Upgrade (OTA) technology: (1) on vehicles without energy recovery brake strength selection, provide options to allow drivers to choose energy recovery brake strength; (2) Adjust the factory default state of the vehicle's energy recovery braking strategy; (3) Send a reminder when the driver deeply presses the accelerator pedal for a long time.
