IT Home reported in April this year that Samsung Electronics has formed an internal team to evaluate the feasibility of changing the default search engine from Google to Bing on devices such as Android phones and tablets.

The latest report indicates that Samsung has suspended this internal evaluation and learned from insiders that,Samsung initially planned to consider replacing the default search engine, but after a brief evaluation, it was deemed inappropriate to make a "significant" change now.

The report pointed out that most Samsung Android phone users prefer to install their own applications, such as using Chrome browser instead of native browser. Samsung has decided to suspend this internal evaluation on the grounds that changing the default search engine may affect other business dealings with Google.

Most of Samsung's mobile devices heavily rely on Google's Android operating system, and Google customizes its applications to be compatible with Samsung's foldable screen smartphones. In addition, Google has also purchased Samsung's storage chips and used the company's contracted chip manufacturing services.

News says Samsung is considering switching to Microsoft Bing by default, and Google is panicking about developing AI search
