The performance of this broadband service test meets expectations and the experience is good. At the same time, it has achieved the connection between 5GNTN satellite broadband service and ground service, supporting voice, short message, high-definition video call, 4k high-definition video playback, FTP download and other services. It comprehensively verifies the implementation ability of 5GNTN technology from the entire satellite ground integrated communication network architecture, standard protocols, experimental equipment, and other aspects, effectively supporting the implementation of direct satellite connection by mobile phones in the future, It comprehensively demonstrates the high-speed transmission and high-level QoS service guarantee capabilities of high-low orbit satellite services in transparent forwarding mode, and achieves the end-to-end full link technology integration of 5GNTN.

CITIC Mobile actively conducts research on satellite ground integration and completes multiple key NTN technologies. CITIC Mobile has broken through key technologies such as large Doppler frequency shift compensation technology in typical satellite scenarios, mobility management technology under high dynamic conditions, and elastic network architecture. It has developed a complete set of 5GNTN equipment prototypes, including terminals, ground base stations, and a satellite ground integrated lightweight core network. It has simulated the interconnection between satellite users and ground 4G/5G users, and continues to conduct new technology research iterations and verifications.

The 5GNTN standard specification is a 5G based satellite transparent forwarding communication standard protocol developed by the International Organization for Standardization 3GPP. The first 5GNTN standard specification was officially released in the 3GPPR17 version in June 2022. Based on the original 5G ground cellular standard specifications, 5GNTN designs and develops technical specifications for direct communication between mobile phones and high-low orbit satellites based on the needs and technical characteristics of satellite communication.
