It is reported that the specific features of this upgrade include: support for querying accessible bathroom information in subway stations, and emergency call numbers in subway stations; In pedestrian navigation mode, it is possible to query the information of accessible public restrooms along the road. Currently, nearly 2200 accessible public restrooms have been launched.

At the same time, Gaode wheelchair navigation has also updated the accessible elevator information of facilities such as overpasses. In wheelchair navigation pedestrian navigation scenarios, users will be guided to use accessible facilities to pass and avoid obstacles such as steep steps and slopes; In the scenario of bus navigation, the accessibility of subway facilities will be combined with transportation methods such as taking a taxi, with the goal of minimizing route costs and time consumption.

At present, Gaode wheelchair navigation and the above updates have covered 14 cities including Shanghai, Beijing, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Qingdao, Changsha, Wuhan, Xi'an, Zhengzhou, Shijiazhuang, and Hefei.

It is understood that Gaode Map wheelchair navigation was launched on November 25, 2022, with the support of Zhejiang Disabled Persons' Federation. It was jointly initiated by Gaode Map, Alibaba Public Welfare, Alibaba Information Accessibility Committee, and Zhejiang Province Accessibility Environment Construction Promotion Association. Users can turn on "Accessible Navigation" in the settings option on the Gaode Map APP.
