Zhang Ping An stated that Huawei began investing in database research and development as early as 2001. Currently, GaussDB has been applied in Huawei's internal IT system and multiple industry core business systems. In the future, GaussDB will delve deeply into financial scenarios and become a better choice for financial customer databases through comprehensive innovation; And move from the financial industry to other industries with high requirements for databases, from China's innovation scenarios to global customers, providing the world with a better choice.

At present, GaussDB has been widely used in the financial industry, supporting the core business of state-owned large banks such as Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Postal Savings Bank of China, China Construction Bank, Agricultural Bank of China, etc. In addition, it also serves key industry enterprises such as Shaanxi Provincial Department of Finance, CNOOC, State Grid Shaanxi Electric Power, and Capital Highway Development Group.

Huawei started developing databases as early as 2001, including embedded databases, in memory databases, analytical databases, and transactional databases. These databases are widely used in various products in Huawei's communication field, "Zhang Ping introduced in his speech.

After more than 20 years of technological accumulation and integration into Huawei's long-standing quality and trustworthy standards for enterprise services, GaussDB has been widely applied within Huawei and in core business systems in industries such as banking, insurance, securities, and energy. Taking Huawei's internal IT system as an example, GaussDB has completed the comprehensive replacement of over 600 sets of databases; In Huawei's terminal cloud, more than 6000 distributed database nodes have been built and currently carry up to 6 PB of data.

In terms of reliability, the database and underlying hardware are inseparable, and only the collaboration of software and hardware can make the database truly safe and reliable.

GaussDB's whole system error prevention and correction can ensure data error free, while the fast response architecture of the whole stack system level software and hardware fault notification can timely capture and respond to system software and hardware faults, and multi-layer software+hardware redundancy can avoid single point of failure.

In terms of performance, deep optimization of computing, storage, and network around databases can break through the ceiling of pure software level performance optimization, allowing GaussDB to achieve performance doubling.

As a new generation of distributed cloud databases, GaussDB has built technological advantages of high availability, high security, high performance, high elasticity, and high intelligence in industry practice through multi-dimensional technological innovation. Taking the 5A level credit core system of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China as an example, the bank adopts GaussDB's dual cluster and dual active solution, which not only ensures zero data loss during cluster switching, but also measures a fault recovery time of only 2 minutes, which is only one tenth of the original time.

At the conference, Zhang Ping'an teamed up with 17 software partner enterprises and 7 service partner enterprises to jointly launch the "GaussDB Database Financial Industry Ecological Development Plan".

Huawei Cloud has established the GaussDB Ecological Development Plan for three types of partners: database software partners, consulting and system integration, and service partners, providing five major support measures: development and migration, product construction, learning and empowerment, marketing and promotion, and capability improvement.
