The author of 'Black Swan' criticizes Bitcoin again: cult like things are not easy to use for money laundering!

The author of the best-selling book 'Black Swan', Nassim Nicholas Taleb, has recently intensified his criticism of the digital asset industry, stating that Bitcoin has become a cult like thing and is not even suitable for money laundering.

Taleb said at an investment conference on Thursday that Bitcoin investment has become a cult like behavior that is often incompatible with the pragmatic world of money.

Taleb said, "Guess what my main reason is? Bitcoin is not even suitable for money laundering. It's too easy to track. When you see gold, you can remelt the gold bars and do something, but Bitcoin is a ledger entry somewhere, and anyone with basic statistical knowledge can triangulate it

In his view, "Cryptocurrency may be just a temporary craze" and "the transaction narrative is no longer tenable".

He also believes that Bitcoin has become a cult, and Taleb said, "The second thing is that it has become a cult. This may be the first time in history that we have mixed money and cult together. This is a fanatical worship of financial products - the two cannot be well combined

The criticism of the Taleb compared to the coin is not new. He once called Bitcoin "an open Ponzi scheme" and "a failed currency", and called it "an idiot magnet" and "a fool detector".

Last Tuesday, after the US SEC sued Coin An, Taleb tweeted that Bitcoin was worse than the Mafia, because the Mafia would provide some form of "protection" after collecting Protection racket, and investing in Bitcoin would ultimately cost nothing.
