Silence, a new force in car manufacturing, announced mass production of its first electric vehicle S04: detachable battery

IT Home reported on June 10 that John Edwards, former head of Jaguar Land Rover's SVO department, and Tony Liu Yi, former Nissan's marketing director, had created the electric vehicle brand Silence. The brand recently announced that it would officially enter the electric vehicle market, and its first four-wheel electric vehicle SilenceS04 has started mass production.

Silence stated that the S04 is a two door, two seat electric vehicle, with its biggest selling point being the flexibility of a motorcycle, but its safety is better than that of a motorcycle. The body dimensions of SilenceS04 are 2.28m long, 1.29m wide, and 1.59m high. Its body weight is only 450 kilograms, of which the weight of the battery pack is 82 kilograms. The S04 basic version can provide a maximum motor power of 22kW, a maximum speed of 85km/h, and a range of 149 kilometers.

IT Home noticed that the battery pack of the car can be disassembled separately. Silence stated that after the battery is removed, users can use a lever and wheel to tow the battery pack home like a suitcase. Silence stated that the total capacity of the two battery packs on the car is 11.2 kWh, which can be fully charged in 6 hours. Silence will launch a low-power S04 in the future, equipped with a 6KW motor, and the top speed will be reduced to 45km/h.

It is reported that SilenceS04 can be sold in two ways. The first form is a subscription system, where consumers can choose to spend 6580 euros (IT Home note: currently about 50469 yuan) to purchase the body part, and the battery pack is obtained through leasing. The second type is traditional vehicle purchase, where consumers need to pay at least 10180 euros (currently approximately 78081 yuan) to purchase this electric vehicle.
