Analyst JeffPu revealed that in the 2024 iPhone 16 series, all four Apple iPhone 16 models will be equipped with A18 series chips as standard.The standard version is equipped with A18, while the Pro version is equipped with A18Pro.According to JeffPu, the standard version of iPhone 16 will skip A17 (iPhone 15 is equipped with A16 chip) and go directly to A18, which helps improve the competitiveness of the standard version.
In addition, JeffPu also pointed out that all Apple A18 and A18Pro chips are built based on TSMC's second-generation 3nm process, using the N3E process.
It is reported that Apple A17Pro uses the N3B process, and the N3E used in the A18 series can be seen as the "cheap version" of N3B, which places more emphasis on power consumption control.
