According to the patent description, the application range of electronic devices is further expanded by embedding acoustic components (such as speakers) and luminous components (such as screens and other components) into the fabric.
IT Home hereby attaches a design concept mentioned by Apple in its patent, which is a flexible speaker composed of a fabric layer and a sound coil layer, which can be folded into any shape and can be constructed in unfolded, retracted, curved, cylindrical, and/or conical shapes.
The voice coil layer is formed by conductive wires in the fabric or printed traces on a flexible substrate. In either case, the voice coil can surround the magnetic component, forming an electric field to drive the voice coil and emit sound.
In addition to the sound circle layer, electronic devices can also include light-emitting elements between fabric layers, sensor layers between fabric layers, or any other desired input/output device layer that emits or receives input through the fabric layer.
These other input and output device layers can also be flexible to maintain the overall flexibility, scalability, and compressibility of electronic devices. In one example, the device may include having multiple screens displaying images through fabric layers.
