Samsung claims that the SensorOLED panel is equipped with a built-in light sensing OPD, which eliminates the need for independent fingerprint sensors to be installed below the screen in the production process of mobile phones and other products. This not only reduces space occupation but also reduces costs.
It is reported that this light sensing technology is built into each pixel of the OLED panel, so it can simultaneously sense fingerprint or heart rate information from multiple fingers.
This enables the device to provide more accurate biometric authentication and measure blood pressure, and the panel can also simultaneously measure the user's stress level.
Samsung stated that the SensorOLED panel will be prioritized for use on Galaxy series phones and tablets.
