Evan Blass, a reputable tipster, recently shared a tweet on X, revealing that Samsung's enhanced Galaxy Z Fold6 will be called the "Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition" upon release. He believes Samsung will not use the Slim or Ultra monikers.
Previously, IT Home reported in July that Samsung might hold a dedicated launch event in October to unveil the Galaxy Tab S10 series of tablets, the W25 (China), and the Galaxy Z Fold6 Slim (Korea). It remains unclear whether the new naming convention will affect the W25's name.
Early leaks suggest the enhanced Galaxy Z Fold6 could have a thickness between 11mm and 11.5mm, potentially 0.6mm thinner than the standard Galaxy Z Fold6. As the device will not support the S Pen, the back panel might utilize titanium material, marking it as Samsung's first foldable phone featuring a titanium build.
The inclusion of titanium not only enhances the phone's durability but also contributes to a lighter overall weight, improving the user experience. However, the high cost of titanium could lead to a higher price tag for this enhanced model.
