Musk: Tesla plans to produce 200000 electric pickup trucks annually and has tested their bulletproof performance

On Tuesday, November 1st, Tesla CEO Elon Musk participated in a podcast program that focused on the situation of the electric pickup truck Cyberrack, such as vehicle weight, 100 kilometer acceleration, and protection capabilities. He also stated that Tesla's goal is to produce 200000 electric pickup trucks annually

On Tuesday, November 1st, Tesla CEO Elon Musk participated in a podcast program that focused on the situation of the electric pickup truck Cyberrack, such as vehicle weight, 100 kilometer acceleration, and protection capabilities. He also stated that Tesla's goal is to produce 200000 electric pickup trucks annually.

Earlier, Tesla stated that they have the ability to produce over 125000 Cyberracks per year. Musk stated in Tuesday's Joe Rogan Experience podcast that this number may increase to 250000 vehicles by 2025.

This highly anticipated electric pickup truck will begin delivery on November 30th, almost four years after its debut. At that time, Musk showed the audience a series of tests, including breaking the "armored glass" window of the car with a metal ball.

In the podcast, Musk once again emphasized the difficulty of producing Cyberrack. He said, "Our goal is to produce approximately 200000 Cybertrucks annually, perhaps a little more, but I want to emphasize that manufacturing is much more difficult than the initial design

During a earnings conference call earlier this month, Musk also lamented that "launching Cyberrack is Tesla digging its own grave!" He also stated that increasing production and achieving positive cash flow may face "huge challenges".

When answering the question about the weight of the pickup truck, Musk stated that depending on the configuration selection, the weight of this electric pickup truck ranges from 6000 to 7000 pounds (2721 to 3175 kilograms). He said, "It depends on the configuration, but it's around 7000 pounds. There are different versions, all weighing between 6000 or 7000 pounds

Musk added, "This is a heavy-duty truck," agreeing with the statement that "the weight of the Cybertruck can be comparable to the Ford F-250.

In addition to discussing the weight of Cyberrack, Musk also discussed acceleration time and protection capabilities.

Musk revealed that Tesla is working hard to control the acceleration time of Cybertruck from 0 to 60 miles (approximately 96 kilometers) within 3 seconds. Only the 'Beast Mode' version of Cyberrack can achieve this acceleration, as described by Musk in the discussion.

Musk also discussed the protective capabilities of Cyberrack. Someone previously shared the results of a bow and arrow test on Instagram and joked, 'Cyberrack can also withstand bows and arrows!'

According to tests conducted by Tesla earlier this month, including testing the Cyberrack with a Thompson submachine gun, the results showed that the bullet did not penetrate the stainless steel panel, so guessing the results of the bow and arrow test is not particularly difficult. Musk also stated that Tesla has conducted other firearms tests on electric pickup trucks, including shotguns.
