I. Appearance: The Unique "Fun Square Screen"

Huawei novaFlip adopts a premium minimalist glass backplate, complemented by a frosted texture, providing a more comfortable grip and anti-slip effect. Below the vertically arranged dual-camera module, it features a single LED fill light and a color temperature sensor. The most striking feature is the industry's first 2.1-inch square outer screen with a 1:1 aspect ratio the "Fun Square Screen" located to the right of the camera.

The design inspiration for Huawei novaFlip's "Fun Square Screen" comes from the classic 6X6 format. It uses a square composition, cleverly embedding the lens module and the square outer screen in a symmetrical matrix. The circular lens echoes the square smart outer screen, showcasing the beauty of harmony and order. This symmetrical and balanced design is not only aesthetically pleasing but also reflects the premium quality of the Huawei novaFlip small folding phone.

The inner screen of Huawei novaFlip is equipped with a 6.94-inch LTPO substrate display, supporting a 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate, a resolution of 29601136, and a 120Hz touch sampling rate. A 32-megapixel front-facing camera is integrated in the middle of the top of the inner screen. The inner screen frame of Huawei novaFlip adopts an equal-width design, ensuring the overall visual harmony and unity.

Although novaFlip is the first small folding phone in the nova series, it uses the same high-quality materials as flagship phones. The phone's folding hinge adopts the same Xuanwu Waterdrop Hinge as Huawei Pocket2 and has received the world's first SGS 1.2 million-fold certification. Its Xuanwu Waterdrop Hinge design eliminates the traditional middle door panel, achieving a flat screen. 1. Theoretical Performance Tests

• Antutu Comprehensive Performance Test: The total score is 542,300 points, which is at a moderate level among many smartphones. There will be no pressure for playing King's Glory, PUBG Mobile, or other games.

• CPU Theoretical Test: In GeekBench 6.2.2, the single-core score is 1000 points, and the multi-core score is 2419 points.

• Flash Memory Test: Using Androbench, the sequential read speed of the Huawei novaFlip is measured to be 1053MB/s, and the write speed is approximately 870MB/s, which is at the level of UFS2.X.

2. Game Tests

We conducted tests in an office environment with an indoor temperature of 26 degrees Celsius, selecting three mainstream mobile games: King's Glory, PUBG Mobile, and Call of Duty. During the test, we used the highest quality + highest frame rate (prioritizing frame rate) and recorded the frame rate, power consumption, energy efficiency ratio, and body heating performance during the game.

• King's Glory: With ultra-high frame rate + extreme quality, the game runs at a maximum of 90FPS. It experienced frame drops around 2 minutes and 40 seconds. After a single game, the average frame rate of the game stabilized at 67.83FPS. The game's average power consumption is 3.2W, and the energy efficiency ratio is 21.2FPS/W. After the game, the highest temperature on the back of the phone is 42.4 degrees Celsius.

• PUBG Mobile: With smooth quality + extreme frame rate, the game runs at a maximum of 60FPS. After a 15-minute test of a single game, the average frame rate of the game stabilized at 59.74FPS. The frame rate curve is almost without any significant fluctuations, and the picture is very stable. The average power consumption of the game is around 3.4W, and the energy efficiency ratio is 17.57FPS/W. After 15 minutes of play, the highest temperature on the back of the phone reaches 43.2 degrees Celsius, with the high-temperature area located to the right of the camera.

• Call of Duty: With standard quality + extreme frame rate, the game's average frame rate remains at 59.88FPS after a single intensive battle. Huawei novaFlip can easily play this type of shooting game. The average power consumption of the game is only around 2.97W, and the energy efficiency ratio reaches 20.16FPS/W. After a single game, the highest temperature on the back of the phone is 39 degrees Celsius.
