The vivo X200 series is set to launch soon, and the renowned digital blogger, Digital Chat Station, has revealed information about the series' imaging capabilities. According to reports, the vivo X200 will be the first to feature a new large-sensor CMOS from Sony, manufactured with a 22nm process, and will come standard with a periscope telephoto lens. Previously, vivo had officially announced that the X200 series would debut the company's self-developed BlueMap sensor globally, the first sensor in the industry to support True-TCGHDR, indicating further enhancements in HDR preview and video quality.
The current vivo X100 features a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with the OmniVision OV64B64 sensor, supporting 3x optical zoom and OIS (optical image stabilization). The upcoming vivo X200 is expected to employ a new CMOS, boosting light sensitivity and imaging resolution.
Besides the imaging upgrades, the blogger also revealed that the vivo X200 will not see an upgrade in its fingerprint solution, sticking with the short-focus fingerprint technology.
