Blogger @iUniverseIce shared a render of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition today, showcasing a slimmer design while retaining the square-shaped form factor. According to the blogger, the new device will feature a brushed metal back cover, a 6.5-inch outer screen, and an 8.0-inch inner screen.
Earlier, reliable tipster Evan Blass shared on X platform that the enhanced Galaxy Z Fold6 will be marketed as "Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition," suggesting Samsung will not adopt the Slim or Ultra naming convention.
It's worth noting that Ross Young, CEO of display supply chain consultancy DSCC, has also revealed that the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition (expected to be called W25 in China) will begin production in September, with most units destined for the Chinese market.
Based on available information, the new device is expected to boast a 200MP main camera and utilize UFG (Ultra-Thin Flexible Glass) glass, an upgrade from the UTG (Ultra-Thin Glass).
The render reveals that the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition maintains Samsung's Z Fold design language, retaining the square-shaped body while offering a slimmer profile overall. The brushed metal back cover adds a touch of elegance to the device.
Production of the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is set to begin in September, hinting at an imminent release for consumers. Further details regarding this product remain eagerly anticipated.
