Mark Gurman of Bloomberg reported today that two more Apple Intelligence features for iPhones will be released in a few months. Gurman said in his PowerOn newsletter that Apple now plans to offer the ImagePlayground feature for generating images and the Genmoji feature for creating custom emojis in iOS 18.2, which is expected to release in December.

Experience the "ImagePlayground" within apps to create fun, original images in seconds. Create entirely new pictures based on descriptions, suggested concepts, or even people from your Photo Library. Easily adjust styles and make changes to match the theme of a message, a Freeform board, or a slide in Keynote.

In short, ImagePlayground allows users to generate new images from text input or images from the Photo Library, offering the ability to adjust image styles and details to match different contexts and applications.

The Genmoji feature, on the other hand, is described as follows:

Create entirely new Genmoji right on your keyboard to match any conversation. Enter a description to preview it, then adjust it until it's perfect. You can even pick a person from your Photo Library to create a Genmoji that looks like them.

Genmoji is more intuitive, allowing users to generate new emojis by entering text descriptions, with the ability to adjust them as needed or even generate similar emojis based on images from the Photo Library.

The inclusion of these two features will further enrich the iPhone user experience, offering users more personalized ways of expression and more convenient creation tools.

It's worth noting that the first batch of Apple Intelligence features will be available starting with iOS 18.1, expected to be released to the public in October. These features include new writing tools for generating and summarizing text, notification summaries, suggested replies in the "Messages" app, call recording and transcription features, the new "Clean" tool in the "Photos" app (for quickly removing objects from photos), and other features.

Apple Intelligence requires an iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 15 Pro Max running iOS 18.1 or later. These features are initially available only when the device language is set to English, and Apple says more language versions will be offered next year.
