The Mobile Intelligent Terminal Ecosystem Alliance (formerly known as the Gold Standard Alliance) today announced a list of apps that have not yet adapted to 64-bit as of September 2024. This list includes apps such as Whirlwind Accelerator, General Administration of Sport of China, National 12315 Platform, Baojun Automobile, Power Grid Monitoring Platform, BYD Mobile Office Platform, BYD Cloud Classroom, NBA 2K16, and more. As of September 27th, the four app stores of Xiaomi, OPPO, vivo, and Lenovo have achieved a full adaptation rate of over 99.54%, but there are still 3941 apps (99% off-shelf) that impact users' daily lives and have not adapted to 64-bit, a decrease of over 100 from last month.
To further promote 64-bit app adaptation, OPPO, vivo, Xiaomi, and Lenovo are now gradually cleaning 32-bit apps from their app stores. In the future, they will implement measures such as risk warnings for off-shelf 32-bit apps to ensure user safety and application stability.
64-bit apps offer enhanced performance and security compared to 32-bit apps, better meeting the growing needs of users on mobile devices. However, some app developers have yet to complete the 64-bit adaptation process, inevitably impacting user experience.
