MacRumors discovered user feedback on various platforms, including Apple's official support community, their own forums, Reddit, and iFixitAnswer, and reported that no other solution has been found yet, nor is the root cause of the issue known.

It's worth noting that impacted iMac owners often found themselves out of warranty (1-year) when the issue arose, as many didn't purchase the extended AppleCare+ service. Some customers who reached out to Apple about this issue reported being granted a free repair exemption, while others were required to pay for the repair.
