On November 5th, Nubia and Red Magic, both subsidiaries of ZTE, along with BOE, held a delivery ceremony in Chengdu for their jointly developed next-generation true full-screen display. Wang Hui, brand representative of Red Magic, announced the Red Magic 10 Pro series will be the first to feature the new 1.5K true full-screen display created in collaboration with BOE, dubbed "Wukong Screen" (meaning "without holes"). This screen surpasses its predecessor in resolution, brightness, narrow bezels, refresh rate, and other aspects. It will be produced in BOE's Chengdu production base, which boasts the world's most advanced screen production line.
Wang Hui emphasized that the full-screen technology in the Red Magic 10 Pro series employs the most cutting-edge processes, craftsmanship, labor hours, and costs within the industry. Notably, the Huawei Mate XT Master Edition's triple-folding display is also manufactured on this state-of-the-art production line. The newly delivered true full-screen display boasts an impressive 1.5K resolution, the highest for an under-display camera full-screen display, a remarkable 95.3% screen-to-body ratio, and exceptional high refresh rate and brightness.
This true full-screen display utilizes the industry's most advanced backplane film layer technology, ensuring a perfect balance between high resolution and user photography needs. It represents the industry's most optimal Under-Display Camera (UDC) solution. Wang Hui explained that the screen's name "Wukong Screen" is symbolic: it signifies the screen's hole-less design and symbolizes the groundbreaking innovation of the Red Magic 10 Pro series.
