Thai Nguyen posted a demonstration video on his personal Twitter account. After the initial transformation, the first generation SurfaceDuo can switch between single and dual screen modes according to different usage patterns, similar to foldable phones such as Google PixelFold. In addition, it supports gesture mode.
The native Android system currently installed on the SurfaceDuo phone cannot recognize when the device is in dual or single screen mode,Therefore, additional work is required to ensure the normal operation of this function.
The new version currently demonstrated is based on the Android 13 system, but after completion, it can be easily ported and upgraded to the Android 14 system. IT Home is attaching a demonstration video as follows:
