Bank of Communications Chongqing Branch Joint JD Landing Park Digital RMB Application Scenario Project

Recently, under the guidance of the Chongqing Business Management Department of the People's Bank of China, the Chongqing Branch of Bank of Communications jointly launched a digital RMB application scenario project in the JD landing park. This project is also the first park based digital RMB scenario project of Bank of Communications Chongqing Branch. "The successful implementation of the project will provide a real and convenient consumption scenario for nearly 10000 employees of the park's Great Wall Motor Complete Vehicle Factory and five core parts suppliers to experience and use digital RMB," said the relevant person in charge of BOCOM Chongqing Branch.

Since the launch of the pilot project for digital RMB in Chongqing, under the guidance of the Chongqing Business Management Department of the People's Bank of China, the Chongqing Branch of the Bank of Communications has actively built a digital RMB payment ecosystem, built and expanded application scenarios, and combined digital RMB business with benefiting enterprises, people's livelihoods, and promoting consumer spending. As of the end of April 2023, nearly 200000 personal currency wallets and nearly 5000 corporate currency wallets have been opened.

Next, the Chongqing Branch of the Bank of Communications will continue to conduct more beneficial explorations in scenario finance and digital currency promotion, contributing to the construction of a digital city and high-quality economic development in Chongqing.
