On August 19th, Realme officially announced that its latest flagship series, Realme 13 Pro, will be the first to feature the Sony LYT-600 periscope telephoto lens, offering users an unprecedented imaging experience. This new periscope telephoto lens supports 3x optical zoom, 6x lossless zoom, and up to 120x super telephoto zoom, enabling users to capture clearer images from farther distances.
The Sony LYT-600 periscope telephoto lens boasts enhanced pixel light sensitivity, with a 30% improvement in single-pixel light sensitivity. Meanwhile, the lens boasts a 98% light transmission rate, allowing the Realme 13 Pro series to capture clearer distant images. Xu Qi, Vice President of Realme, stated that mid-range phones previously had to passively wait for the "hand-me-down" of flagship phone imaging technologies. The Realme 13 Pro series, however, adheres to the "mid-range disrupter" philosophy, bringing flagship-level imaging technology to mid-range models first, offering superior imaging experiences for a wider audience.
It is reported that the Sony LYT-600 sensor will be integrated into multiple flagship phones equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen4 chip in the future, potentially replacing the OV64B as the standard for periscope telephoto flagship models. Moreover, the Realme 13 Pro series is equipped with a new Super Light Shadow Engine algorithm. This algorithm can automatically identify and optimize details within images, enhancing the texture details in captured images and improving the image's layering and finesse. The Super Light Shadow Image Engine can also intelligently adjust the image's brightness and contrast, ensuring clarity in various lighting environments.
The Realme 13 Pro series is set to officially launch on August 22nd. With its Sony LYT-600 periscope telephoto lens and Super Light Shadow Engine algorithm, this flagship series is expected to bring users a superior imaging experience while further propelling the advancement of imaging technology in mid-range phones.
