In July, Honor held a launch event for its new Magic flagship products, showcasing the Honor MagicV3, Honor MagicVs3, Honor MagicPad2, and Honor MagicBookArt14. Among them, the Honor MagicV3 announced the upcoming launch of a dual-satellite version, generating widespread attention. While the official release date has not been disclosed, the new device, model number "FCP-AN20," which supports TianTong satellite communication and BeiDou-3 short messaging, has passed network certification, strongly suggesting it is the Honor MagicV3 Dual Satellite Edition.
It is understood that the Honor MagicV3 Dual Satellite Edition, in addition to supporting two-way calling via TianTong satellites, will also feature a new generation of BeiDou satellite communication capabilities, achieving a breakthrough in two-way free text editing. Thanks to on-device AI and the C1+ radio frequency enhancement chip, this version boasts a 41% performance improvement while reducing antenna size by 34%. Although specific parameters haven't been released yet, it is expected to be largely consistent with the standard Honor MagicV3.
The Honor MagicV3 itself already boasts impressive specs. It boasts a closed-state thickness of only 9.2mm, an unfolded thickness of just 4.35mm, and an overall weight of only 226 grams. It is equipped with the third-generation Qinghai Lake battery, featuring a silicon content exceeding 10% and a capacity of 5150mAh, all within an average thickness of 2.6mm. Furthermore, it is powered by the third-generation Snapdragon 8 flagship chip, supports 66W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging, and features the Honor Eagle Eye camera system, which supports 100X periscope zoom. The Honor MagicV3 is priced at 8999 yuan for the 12GB+256GB version, 9999 yuan for the 16GB+512GB version, and 10999 yuan for the 16GB+1TB version. Considering the unique features of the dual-satellite version, its price is expected to be slightly higher than the Honor MagicV3, with a starting price potentially exceeding 8999 yuan.
Beyond the dual-satellite version, the development progress of Honor's triple-folding phone has also attracted considerable attention. Honor CEO Zhao Ming has stated that Honor has completed the technology for triple-folding screens, but the commercialization timeline will depend on consumer demand. He emphasized that triple-folding screens are not a technical hurdle but a commercial decision. This implies that Honor possesses the technical capability to mass produce triple-folding phones, and the final release date will be determined by market response.
Recently, blogger @DigitalChatStation leaked a design draft of the Honor Magic7, showcasing a design language that blends circular and polygonal elements. The rear DECO features four circular openings, with another expected to integrate the flash and other sensors, while the cameras are arranged in a symmetrical square. The blogger further revealed that the Honor Magic7 will be equipped with an equal-depth micro-curved screen and support 3D facial recognition, promising to enhance user interaction and privacy security. The renderings indicate a triple-camera setup within the camera module, with a ring flash being introduced for the first time in the top left corner.
The impending release of the Honor MagicV3 Dual Satellite Edition and the development of the triple-folding phone signal Honor's persistent commitment to the foldable screen market, continuously exploring and innovating to deliver a more technologically advanced and futuristic smart experience for users.
