According to multiple media reports, Chen Xinxin, General Manager of Huawei HarmonyOS Industry Solutions, recently revealed at the 2024 China International Service Trade Fair that Huawei's HarmonyOS NEXT official version system will be released at the end of this month (September). This system is based on a self-developed full-stack system base, abandoning the traditional AOSP code and only supporting HarmonyOS kernel and HarmonyOS applications, further enhancing the system's fluidity and stability. At the same time, HarmonyOS NEXT adopts a self-developed Star Shield security architecture, better protecting user privacy and personal information.

As early as June this year at the Huawei HDC2024 Developer Conference, the official announced that HarmonyOS NEXT had officially entered Beta testing and stated that in addition to its autonomy and controllability and numerous new features, the system could also improve device performance by 30%. It is understood that at the end of last month, Huawei also launched a large-scale recruitment for HarmonyOS NEXT Beta version users, supporting 16 devices including Pura70, Mate60, MateX5, and Pocket2. Judging from the feedback from current beta testers, the system has high fluency and is almost unaffected by other daily applications, resulting in a better control experience. Additionally, JD.com officially announced that the official version of JD.com's HarmonyOS native application is scheduled to be launched in September, further corroborating the statement that HarmonyOS NEXT will be released at the end of September.

Besides the official release of HarmonyOS NEXT, the release time of Huawei's Mate70 series of new phones has also attracted much attention. Recently, several digital bloggers have revealed that the Huawei Mate70 series will be equipped with a new Kirin chip, offering excellent performance and power consumption control, making its actual performance worth anticipating. Additionally, the series will be equipped with a new generation of Kunlun glass and Xuanwu architecture, potentially further enhancing its durability. Blogger @Shanshenashuma revealed that the Huawei Mate70 Extraordinary Master Edition phone will feature a full ceramic back cover, abandoning the dual-color structure design and offering three color options: red, black, and gray.

In terms of design, the Huawei Mate70 phone will be positioned as a business all-rounder, equipped with a 1.5k four-level deep micro-curved screen, a centered dynamic island design, and support for 3D facial recognition. The rear camera adopts a centered symmetrical DECO design, a customized OmniVision one-inch large-aperture main camera, and supports variable aperture + periscope telephoto lens.

However, recent reports suggest that the release of the Huawei Mate70 series of new phones may be postponed to November. Blogger @Jingchengshumaye stated that in addition to the slow adaptation of the HarmonyOS NEXT system, some hardware issues have also hindered the release this year. Currently, Huawei is addressing the adaptation issues of the HarmonyOS NEXT system and the new Kirin chip.
