The first day of October marks the official start of the National Day holiday in China and also kicks off the launch of a plethora of new devices. Following the 2024 Huawei Autumn Full-Scenario New Product Launch Conference, blogger @WisdomPikachu recently revealed Huawei's Q4 new product release schedule, indicating a flurry of new phone and tablet launches in the next two months.

According to the leak, the Huawei nova13 series is expected to launch in October. All models in the series will come with Kirin chips, but different configurations may offer varying performance. The nova13 Ultra, in particular, will feature satellite communication, a new generation of Kunlun glass, variable aperture, and a deep curved screen, aiming for the high-end market.

Notably, Yu Chengdong announced that Huawei HarmonyOS NEXT will begin public beta on October 8th, with initial support for the Huawei MateX5 series, Mate60 series, and MatePad Pro 13.2-inch. Based on the timeline, the Huawei nova13 series is likely to ship with HarmonyOS NEXT pre-installed. While this release isn't the final version, the public beta serves as a prelude to the official release, with minimal difference in user experience. Interested users can apply for the upgrade through the "My Huawei" app - "Upgrade preview" and provide feedback through the "HUAWEI Fans" community.

Alongside the rollout of HarmonyOS NEXT, news of the flagship Huawei Mate70 series has also begun to emerge. According to @Sina Technology, some components for the new Huawei Mate70 series have started shipping, with production lines commencing mass production before the Mid-Autumn Festival. Suppliers have revealed that the phones are expected to launch in November, with potential updates emerging by the end of October if the progress remains optimistic.

Based on recent leaks, the Huawei Mate70 series is expected to include various models: Mate70, Mate70 Pro, Mate70 Pro+, and Mate70 Master Edition. The series will run HarmonyOS NEXT in its final version, feature a familiar family design, potentially incorporate a 1.5K LTPO display, house a 5000-6000mAh new silicon-negative battery, and may boast a new ultra-large sensor main camera OV50K. The OV50K is a new sensor from OmniVision, commercially available this year, with a 50MP resolution, a 1.2-micron pixel size, and a 1/1.3-inch optical format.

Regarding the design, the Huawei Mate70 series will feature a next-generation Kunlun glass and Xuanwu architecture, potentially enhancing durability. Blogger @Focus Digital leaked that the Mate70 series will retain the classic design of its predecessors while innovating the camera area, incorporating metal decor elements to improve scratch resistance and enhance the overall aesthetic.

Blogger @Digital Chat Station shared design details of some Huawei Mate70 series engineering models. These models will feature centralized 3D face recognition and a deep curved screen, both standard large-size options. The body will feature a metal right-angle frame and a power button fingerprint unlock mechanism, while the back will have a centralized oval-shaped camera module and a single periscope camera. Notably, the blogger mentioned a change in the battery cover material, no longer using metal, potentially due to the significantly enhanced energy efficiency of the new processor, reducing the reliance on heavy heat dissipation materials.

The new generation Kirin chip is undoubtedly a major point of interest when it comes to the core performance of the Huawei Mate70 series. This new Kirin chip will feature process improvements, leading to significant performance gains and improved power consumption control for the Mate70 series. Combined with HarmonyOS NEXT, the actual performance of the new devices is worth anticipating.

Additionally, Blogger @Focus Digital hinted that the Mate70 series' "mid-cup" model might support side-mounted fingerprint recognition, differing from the optical in-display fingerprint recognition of the Huawei Mate60 series.

Concerning the Huawei MateX6 foldable phone, concerns have been raised regarding its release plans following the introduction of the MateXT triple-folding phone. However, @Digital Chat Station's leak addressed these concerns. According to the blogger, the supply chain for the Huawei MateX6 is increasing orders, indicating a further commitment to the high-end market. The launch is expected around November, coinciding with the Mate70 series, with no other foldable competitors in the market. While the configuration details haven't been fully revealed, the new device is expected to further improve body control and performance.

In addition to flagship phones, recent news suggests that Huawei PCs will also be fully integrated into the HarmonyOS ecosystem. Currently, the Huawei HarmonyOS developer website design guidelines include "HarmonyOS PC version" layout pages, besides phones and tablets, with apps adapted for scenarios such as audio, social, photography, reading, shopping, finance, lifestyle, and travel. While the "HarmonyOS PC version" has not yet revealed complete page design details, the design specifications show that the PC version has a status bar at the top right corner of the screen, displaying information such as input method, volume, battery capacity, and time. The bottom includes an application dock bar with persistent functions and applications. These icons are spaced apart, not clustered together.

Overall, Huawei's product plans for the second half of the year are impressive. Aside from the new Kirin chip, the native HarmonyOS will be integrated into multiple product domains. The actual performance of these upcoming products is eagerly awaited.
