The vivo X200 series will be unveiled at the Water Cube on October 14th at 7:00 PM. This launch not only marks a significant upgrade for the X200 series itself, but also the global debut of the MediaTek Dimensity 9400, the first 3nm chip in the Android camp, built using TSMC's 3nm process.
The Dimensity 9400 is the first chip to feature the Arm Cortex-X925 super core, leading to substantial performance improvements. To highlight the upgraded CPU, Arm has changed the naming convention for the Cortex-X series. Compared to the previous generation X4, the Cortex-X925 super core delivers a 36% performance boost and a 41% improvement in AI performance.
In terms of GPU, the Dimensity 9400 is equipped with the latest Mali-G925-ImmortalisMC12GPU. Arm claims that the new Immortalis G925 GPU is their most powerful and efficient GPU to date. Tests on the GFXBench Aztec 1440P offscreen Vulkan scenario show the Dimensity 9400's GPU achieving an impressive 134fps, surpassing the A18 Pro by 86% and Snapdragon 8 Gen3 by 41%, demonstrating its formidable performance.
According to official results shared by vivo's Han Boshao, the X200 Pro Weiting version achieves an AnTuTu benchmark score exceeding 3 million, making it the first Android flagship to break the 3 million barrier.
The vivo X200 series will be releasing three models simultaneously: the X200 Standard, X200 Pro, and X200 Pro mini. Among them, the X200 Pro mini is the most anticipated, featuring a compact straight screen design. Despite the small size, the "Pro" designation emphasizes its flagship positioning. This model doesn't compromise on specs, matching the regular Pro in terms of configuration, making it a fully-featured compact flagship.
