On October 15th, a launch event themed "Reaching the Peak" was jointly held by BOE (BOE Technology Group), OPPO, and OnePlus in Beijing, introducing the new 2K+LTPO all-round premium screen, the second-generation "Oriental Screen." The screen will be featured as the primary display in OnePlus' upcoming flagship device, the OnePlus 13.

The second-generation "Oriental Screen" builds upon the first high-end OLED screen, the "Oriental Screen," launched in October 2023, achieving significant advancements in picture quality, performance, and eye protection. It redefines the benchmark for high-end flexible OLED displays.

The authoritative institution, DisplayMate, has even established a new A++ standard specifically for it, highlighting the screen's outstanding performance.

During the launch, Li Jie provided a detailed overview of the second-generation "Oriental Screen," highlighting its comprehensive upgrade in picture quality, eye protection, and performance experience achieved through hardware advancements and software optimization.

In terms of picture quality, the second-generation "Oriental Screen" utilizes X2 luminous materials and incorporates a self-developed P2 screen chip. Enhanced DIC algorithms and improved grayscale display uniformity for low grayscale images contribute to the enhanced picture quality. Meanwhile, optimizing the color deviation trajectory curve of the light-emitting device ensures superior display consistency.

Regarding eye protection, the second-generation "Oriental Screen" overcomes the industry challenge of low-brightness display under DC dimming, achieving a hardware-level DC-like dimming eye protection mode with lower color deviation, higher purity, and more uniform full brightness. This effectively mitigates the negative impact of screen flicker. The screen also supports the "Sun Display" function, guaranteeing clear screen visibility even in high-brightness environments without compromising color display quality. This feature is currently unmatched by other screens.
