As Xiaomi's annual flagship, the Xiaomi 15 series will be the first to be equipped with Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy processor. This chip adopts Qualcomm's self-developed second-generation custom Oryon architecture CPU, featuring two "super cores" and six "performance cores." Among them, the "super core" has a clock speed of up to 4.32GHz, while the "performance core" has a clock speed of 3.53GHz. Compared to the previous generation, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy has seen a 45% improvement in both single-core and multi-core performance.
Besides powerful CPU performance, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy is also equipped with the new Adreno 830 GPU and an enhanced Hexagon NPU, with a 44% increase in peak performance, a clock speed reaching 1100MHz, and a 12MB dedicated cache.
