The company has today teased the Xiaomi SU7Ultra production version, revealing some of its exterior details, attracting widespread attention.

According to Xiaomi founder, chairman, and CEO Lei Jun's Weibo post, an advance unveiling of the Xiaomi SU7Ultra production version will be held on October 29th, hinting that a separate official launch event will follow. The company also released a poster showcasing a portion of the car's rear design.

IT Home noticed that the rear design of the Xiaomi SU7Ultra production version differs from both the Xiaomi SU7Ultra prototype and the Xiaomi SU7, particularly in the design of the rear wing and diffuser. Compared to the Xiaomi SU7, the Xiaomi SU7Ultra production version appears to adopt a larger carbon fiber rear wing.

According to previous official statements, the Xiaomi SU7Ultra production version and the Xiaomi SU7Ultra Prototype (PT version) share the same core technical capabilities, including the tri-motor system, track version battery, thermal management system, and more, essentially the same "innards". The key difference lies in their intended purpose: the PT version is a track prototype built on Xiaomi's pure electric architecture, solely designed for racing and ineligible for road use. The PT version's design prioritizes extreme performance on the track and aims to validate the core technology of the tri-electric system and chassis. The production version, on the other hand, offers both a pinnacle racetrack experience and legal road use.

Regarding the price of the Xiaomi SU7Ultra production version, Lei Jun had previously stated that it will be "slightly expensive" but not exceptionally so. This indicates that the car may not be budget-friendly, but it won't reach the exorbitant price tags of some high-end supercars.
