Recently, Techinsights, a renowned market research firm, released its report on the Chinese smartphone market for the third quarter of 2024. The data shows that smartphone shipments reached 65.7 million units, representing a 3% year-on-year increase and marking a continuous recovery for the third consecutive quarter.
The report also drew attention to the rankings and shipments of the top six smartphone manufacturers. Vivo topped the list with 12.5 million units shipped, followed closely by OPPO and Xiaomi, both with 10.2 million units. Honor secured the fourth spot with 10 million units, while Apple and Huawei tied for fifth place, each shipping 9.9 million units. Notably, Huawei's smartphone shipments witnessed the highest year-on-year growth rate at 19.3%, indicating a strong comeback.
Looking back at the first three quarters of 2024, the Chinese smartphone market exhibited a positive upward trend, primarily driven by the release of consumer replacement demand and the continuous advancement of 5G network construction.
