Microsoft announced in January last year that it would acquire Activision Blizzard for $68.7 billion (currently approximately RMB 489.831 billion), marking the largest acquisition in the gaming industry's history. The deadline for the transaction is July 18th.

The FTC has filed a lawsuit against this transaction, requesting its internal administrative judge to conduct a trial. Through this trial like procedure, the judge will make a preliminary decision, which can then be appealed to the Committee of the Whole. If Microsoft is not satisfied with the committee's voting results, it can also appeal to the federal court. This case will be submitted to the Administrative Law Judge for trial in August.

In addition, the UK Competition and Market Authority (CMA) has also decided to block this transaction, and Microsoft plans to appeal against it this summer.
