At an event hosted by the The Economic Times of India, Altman pointed out that some state funded AI projects felt like a good idea.

India is the latest stop of Ultraman's global tour, and he plans to meet with Indian Prime Minister Modi and other government officials. He will visit South Korea on June 9th.

Ultraman said, 'I think the most important thing is to figure out how to integrate these (artificial intelligence) technologies into other services. I think governments are lagging behind in this area and have not yet found an answer.'.

Ultraman also mentioned that India currently holds the rotating presidency of the Group of Twenty (G20) and can play an important role in formulating global artificial intelligence regulations. The day before, Altman warned that AI posed a survival risk to human beings. He suggested that organizations similar to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) should supervise AI.

In addition, Ultraman also stated that building local language functionality is important for OpenAI. In terms of non English languages, we have made significant progress from GPT3.5 to GPT4, performing quite well in the top 20 global languages and still doing well in the top 100 languages. In India, a key growth market, OpenAI's competitor Google has developed an artificial intelligence model that can handle voice and text in over 100 local languages in India.

On the same day, Microsoft announced that it would enable users of its Azure government cloud service (including various US government agencies) to access OpenAI's artificial intelligence model. Microsoft said that Azure government service customers can use the two large language models of OpenAI, the latest GPT-4 and the early GPT-3, through Microsoft's AzureOpenAI service, which is also the first time that large technology companies provide Chatbot technology services for the government.

But currently, governments around the world are most concerned about the risks brought by artificial intelligence, and regulatory authorities are concerned that this technology may be used to commit complex crimes and spread false information. Technology executives and artificial intelligence scientists believe that the extinction risk brought by this technology is comparable to that of an epidemic and nuclear war.

Earlier, the Dutch Data Protection Agency (DPA) expressed concerns about the use of personal data by artificial intelligence developers and has written to OpenAI requesting more information and clarification regarding ChatGPT.
